Since 1979, food safety has been my passion. Early in my career as a food service professional in healthcare, business and industry, and sales, food safety was always on my mind. For over 45 years including a more than 40-year career as an associate professor and faculty member in higher-education since 1984, and founder of Food Safety Plus in 2011, my goal has been to share my knowledge on the importance of food safety with my associates, my students and professionals who service others while offering food and beverage options to their clients and the public at large. Over a span of over 40 years, I have taught food safety to over 6,100 post-secondary, hospitality and tourism industry professionals and individuals of all abilities throughout the State of New York. Since the inception of Food Safety Plus in 2011, I have traveled many thousands of miles to provide food safety training with the most up-to-date 2022 FDA Food Code to individuals of all abilities, professional levels, and occupations within the hospitality and tourism industry. The "Who Should Attend" page showcases over 100 hospitality and tourism industry sectors, both non-profit and for-profit, and over 200 occupational titles of registrants that have completed my Food Safety Plus food safety training sessions.
