Since 1979, food safety has been my passion. Early in my career as a food service professional in healthcare, business and industry, and sales, food safety was always on my mind. Since 1985 and over a 36-year career as an associate professor and faculty member in higher-education, and founder of Food Safety Plus in 2011 my goal has been to share my knowledge on the importance of food safety with my students and professionals who service others while offering food and beverage options to their clients and the public at large.
Over a span of 37 years, I have taught over 5,000 post-secondary and hospitality and tourism industry professionals in food safety throughout the State of New York. Since the inception of Food Safety Plus in 2011, I have traveled many thousands of miles to provide food safety training to individuals of all abilities and professional levels, and occupations within the hospitality and tourism industry. The "Who Should Attend" page showcases the over 100 hospitality and tourism industry sectors, both non-profit and for-profit, and over 200 occupational titles of registrants that have completed my food safety training sessions.
